Isn’t it incredible that farmers are able to capture methane from dairy cows to produce RNG?
Farmers have the potential to produce a very high quality RNG thanks to the richness of methane in agricultural waste.
At my facility we produce RNG, also known as biomethane, by capturing the biogas released by the manure from our dairy cows.
A herd of 100 dairy cows can produce enough RNG to heat 12 homes, so imagine how much RNG they can produce with 3800 cows!
Southeast Eco360, an RNG facility near Moncton, NB, captures roughly enough methane to power 425 homes each year from municipal waste!
