When I was looking for a career, I really wanted to do something that would effectively improve the state of our environment. I’m the kind of person who always needs to be in the thick of it, getting my hands dirty as I see a project through from beginning to end. That’s why I love baking! I get to create something amazing, or terrible—let’s be real, they aren’t all winners.
There are so many different career options out there, but I wanted to work in a hands-on field that would allow me to continue learning throughout my career. I took a two-year process control technician program at my local community college which would allow me to work in industrial facilities. As part of my work practicum, I was lucky enough to gain experience at my local dairy farm and after I completed my training, they wanted me to start my career with them.
