The feedstock goes through a chemical process called “transesterification”

(yup, that’s a term that took me a long time to get used to saying!)

Once that process is complete it is then refined and blended with petroleum for use in things like school buses, transit buses, and heavy construction equipment.

These types of transportation are some of the most popular which means they contribute the most to our GHG emissions. So anything we can do to reduce carbon emissions in transportation is good, right?
